Hanuman Jayanti celebrated in Howrah as thousands of devotees join grand procession

Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and grandeur across Howrah today, with political leaders and locals joining hands in the spiritual festivity. From temple visits to grand processions, the city witnessed a vibrant display of devotion.

Central Howrah MLA and State Minister Arup Rai visited multiple temples in his constituency, offering prayers and interacting with devotees. His early morning temple visits set the tone for the day’s celebrations in Central Howrah, with chants of “Jai Bajrang Bali” reverberating through the streets.

In North Howrah, MLA Gautam Choudhary led one of the city’s largest Hanuman Jayanti processions, which began from Gulmohar. Thousands of residents gathered, waving saffron flags and chanting bhajans, creating a wave of energy and devotion through the locality.

What stole the show was MLA Gautam Choudhary’s spirited participation. The legislator danced and sang along with devotees throughout the procession, wielding a symbolic mace in tribute to Lord Hanuman. His energy was infectious, and videos of his performance quickly began circulating on social media.

Security was tight and arrangements were well coordinated, with local police managing traffic and crowd movement smoothly. Devotees marched peacefully along designated routes while volunteers distributed prasad and water bottles along the way.

Adding to the day's fervor, Opposition Leader Shubhendu Adhikari is expected to lead a separate Hanuman Jayanti procession this evening along the same route. Authorities are prepared for another large turnout, ensuring both safety and spiritual vibrancy remain top priorities.
